Session Description: This workshop explores the importance of purpose, meaning, and life satisfaction for persons with opioid use disorder. The foundation of this workshop is based on the results of a review of GPRA data collected from persons receiving medication for opioid use disorder through SAMHSA TTOR/SOR grants. The review indicates that individuals receiving medication for opioid use disorder need a more holistic approach to OUD which goes beyond pharmaceutical interventions. This workshop explores necessity of psychosocial interventions and the complexity of integrating pharmaceutical and psychosocial treatments.
