Alycia DeGraff, PhD, LMFT-S has been practicing as a therapist since 2012 and has held multiple roles in direct care, program management, administration, academia, independent clinical operations and DEI consulting, and non-profit political organizations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Community, Family, and Addiction Services from Texas Tech University, a clinical master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University, and doctorate degree in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Georgia. She has extensive training and experience in the substance use disorder and recovery studies field, has developed tele-behavioral-health programs, has published on the topics of community and family wellbeing, and has provided clinical trainings at local, national, and international platforms. Dr. DeGraff currently owns and operates a group private practice in Austin, Texas, works as clinical training faculty in master’s level marriage and family therapy programs, and provides independent clinical program quality assurance consultation services. In her free time she enjoys traveling, camping, kayaking, gardening, and spending time with her partner and two dogs.
Samuel MacMaster, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor within the Department of Psychiatry at Meharry Medical College where he also serves as the Executive Director of the Elam Mental Health Center, the primary indigent care addiction treatment provider for the city of Nashville. For the past three decades, Dr. MacMaster has worked with numerous organizations to design and implement addiction treatment programs throughout the country. He has produced three books and over seventy-five peer-reviewed publications related to substance use; and has significant clinical experience working with people who use drugs.
George Massengill, BSSW, LADAC, has over 35 years of experience in the healthcare, information technology, and business financial industry. George has developed and led companies serving as CEO, Clinical Director, and VP positions in marketing, clinical, and business development for many national companies including The University of Tennessee, CRC Health / Acadia Health, Peninsula Health System, PMR Inc, Vendeall Health, AdvoCare, Bradford Health, and Paracelsus Health Care US operations. He has also achieved recognition at the local, state, and federal level for his efforts in improving the mental health care and addiction treatment systems. As a licensed clinician George has dedicated time addressing and problem solving the drug and alcohol epidemic within our country with explicit concentration on the economic and sociocultural challenges that encompass this issue. He currently serves as the founder and CEO of 4M Consulting Services Inc and serves on the board of directors for multiple agencies. He is a devoted father of four, avid outdoorsman, public speaker, and musician.
